Eagan, Minn. — Transport America Inc. recently announced its decision to convert its fleet to the new MCP200 QUALCOMM units. The new units are equipped with navigation, wi-fi with Internet connectivity, in cab scanning, and electronic logging. Transport America plans to convert the entire fleet over the next 18 months.
“We expect a relatively fast ROI from the in cab scanning, navigation, and e-logging from both an out of route mileage standpoint and from a time conservation standpoint. We have always looked to cutting edge technology in order to improve our ability to meet our customer's needs as well as our driver's needs. The new MCP200 QUALCOMM units allow us to do both,” says Brett Terchila, Director of Operations for Transport America.
