DECKER ANNOUNCES DRIVERS OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL 2007

Fort Dodge, Iowa – Decker Truck Line, Inc. recently announced that Dale Leman was selected as the April 2007 Driver of the Month for the company’s Flatbed division. Dale has been with Decker Truck Line for seven years now, working mostly in the flatbed division, but also helping out in the reefer/van division. Dale and his wife, Lezlee, reside in West Bend, Iowa. During the nomination process, Dale’s driver manager, Jenny McQuinn, spoke about his success: “Dale is a hard worker,” Jenny said. “He will go anywhere and everywhere as long as he keeps moving.” Congratulations, and keep up the good work, Dale!

Stephen Abbott was selected for the April 2007 Driver of the Month in the Reefer/Van division. He and his wife, Debra, reside in Mabank, Texas, with their two children, Jessica and Christopher. When Stephen is not hard at work, he and his family enjoy camping in their RV, taking care of their animals and attending church. During the nomination process, Stephen’s driver manager, Shelly Rautanen, spoke highly of him: “Stephen is a great driver to work with,” she said. “He will do whatever needs to be done, and has a positive attitude.” Congratulations, and keep up the good work, Stephen!

Drivers and owner-operators are nominated for this honor each month by their dispatcher. Selection is based on their overall performance in all areas of the company, including: operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll and billing, as well as customer service. All drivers and owner-operators selected for driver of the month during 2007, are eligible for the honor of 2007 Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
