"An apology from L.J. Kennedy Trucking to the drivers we don't hire."

Lj_kennedy_trucking
Every time we review thirty applications, we disappoint twenty-nine applicants. (But, we do delight one elite professional).

Look, we don’t try to convince every driver that they belong with us. Actually, we’re only seeking the top drivers.

Our hiring criteria is demanding. But that’s why our drivers can be so demanding. And that’s why we pay our drivers so well. (Not to mention why we have one of the smallestpayroll deductions in the trucking
business for family medical coverage).

  • $1,095* per week/avg. pay

  • Family medical insurance

  • Home weekends

  • Company-paid pension plan
  • Did you know that our qualified drivers receive a company-paid pension? And are home each weekend?

Maybe that explains why our turnover-rate is 29%, while the industry turnover-rate exceeds 130%. Turnover-rates tell you a lot about driver satisfaction, don’t they?

If you want to be a part of one of America’s most selective carriers, call us now.

The better you know us, the better we look.

    (866) I-WANT-LJ(866) 492-6855

WARNING: Our work is for tough people. Heavy tarps. Climbing. But, our drivers receive family medical benefits with little or no payroll deduction. And, a pension. Home on weekends. Typically earn $56,940 per year. If you think L. J. Kennedy may be right for you, consult one of our recruiters NOW!

*This claim about driver pay has been reviewed by Wiss & Company,
one of America’s largest independent accounting firms.

“L. J. Kennedy Trucking: Ask our drivers about us.”

2007 Volvo 780 Tractors Now Available in Hill Bros. Lease Purchase Program

Omaha, Nebraska — For the first time, drivers at Hill Bros. Transportation can choose to lease a brand-new Volvo tractor. To increase tractor selection for drivers in their lease purchase program as well as company drivers, Hill Bros. recently ordered fifty 2007 Volvo 780 tractors in addition to the 2007 Kenworth T-600 and Peterbilt 387 models (and pre-owned trucks) already available in the program.

“The Volvo’s aerodynamic build makes it very fuel efficient,” said Abbie Reed, Owner Operator Program Administrator. “That’s why it appeals to so many drivers, and why we wanted them to have the opportunity to lease one.” The 2007 Volvo tractor is equipped with a 535 horsepower, 13-speed D-16 engine. It features a roomy, 81” Neo-classic sleeper, including a refrigerator and foldable workstation; a 236” wheelbase; and a 3:42 Meritor rear end.

To qualify for the lease purchase program, a driver must first work at Hill Bros. as a company driver for 45 to 90 days. To join Hill Bros., contact a recruiter at 877-665-3141.

CTL, CCC TRANSPORTATION JOIN RIDGE CAREER CENTER FOR CLASSES IN FUTURE TRUCK DRIVING OCCUPATIONS

Auburndale, Fla. -- Trucking companies CTL Transportation, LLC, and CCC Transportation, LLC, together with the Ridge Career Center in Winter Haven, Fla., have begun a partnership to train students interested in obtaining a Class A commercial driver’s license. The program will insure students’ future employment in the trucking business.

As part of Florida’s Polk County Public School System, Ridge Career Center will provide students with nationally accredited Class A Tractor-Trailer Driver Training. Upon graduation from this comprehensive training program, students will have the opportunity for immediate employment through CTL Transportation or CCC Transportation.

The first three-week training class began on Feb. 5 at the Winter Haven campus. The program teaches students vital skills through a combination of in-class and on-the-job training, and students start earning a salary after the third week. New classes are scheduled to begin every three weeks.

In addition to outstanding instruction, the modern facilities at Ridge Career Center, located at 7700 State Rd. 544, provide an ideal environment for student drivers. The campus features a lighted skill pad with a half-mile track, spacious classrooms and an on-site cafeteria where sponsored students will be treated to hot lunches during training. “We are genuinely excited to begin this training partnership and look forward to creating quality training experiences and employment opportunities for each student attending the program,” said Lisa Harden, Director, Ridge Career Center.

While delivering comprehensive training is a major objective of this program, another priority is offering immediate career placement for graduates. To benefit from this partnership, a student driver should first apply to CTL Transportation or CCC Transportation. Those companies will then sponsor qualifying students to attend the driver training program at no cost, in exchange for completing one year of employment with the sponsoring company immediately after graduation. Sponsored students must repay the tuition loan only if they do not complete one year of employment with the sponsoring company.
