Transport America Recognizes Company and Contract Drivers of the Month for December 2006
Eagan, Minnesota — Minnesota-based truckload carrier Transport America announces its December 2006 Drivers of the Month. These drivers are recognized for their outstanding service to Transport America and its customers during the month of December.
Professional drivers are Gail Daugherty, a Professional Driver Instructor with 26 years of driving experience, including six years driving for the U.S. Army, with Transport America for nine months; Jerry Nelson, with Transport America for eight months; and Jeffrey Atwell, with Transport America for seven years.
Professional contractors are Alan Leitzen, with Transport America for 11 years; Emanuel Owusu, with Transport America for 14 months; and Gery Schonhart, with Transport America for over 25 years.
“Given the criteria, being selected as Driver of the Month is quite an accomplishment,” says Barry Mundt, Director of Fleet Operations. “The professional drivers and contractors recognized this month represent top performers at Transport America for the month of December. The selection criteria for Driver of the Month include on-time customer service, safety and working percentage.
Transport America congratulates these drivers on achieving this month’s award. Each driver will be presented their award in a formal presentation at Transport America headquarters in Eagan, Minn.
