Promotions at TMC Transportation
TMC has announced the promotions of Scott Crouse to the position of Executive Vice President of Planning, and Tom Webster to the position of Executive Vice President of Customer Service and Carrier Development.
Crouse will be responsible for optimizing all company trucks and owner-operators for each of TMC’s three asset divisions – Regional, Long Haul and Dedicated Contract Services, as well as continue to manage the detention department.
In addition, Crouse will serve as Interim Project manager for Operation Loads during the first few months of deploying TMC’s new business model, which will accommodate every load a customer has to offer.
“TMC’s success is the result of its people and our commitment to total quality management and continuous process improvement,” Crouse said.
During his 24 years in the trucking industry, Crouse has been involved in all facets of the business from driver to operations to sales to ownership. He has been with TMC since July 2002, and previously held the position of executive vice president of customer service.
Webster is responsible for the overall operation and administration of TMC’s customer service department and the Partner Carrier program. This program is dedicated to seeking out and partnering service-focused carriers with TMC’s customer base.
“Our customers, drivers and partner carriers share the spotlight,” explains Webster. “TMC believes in disciplined people, disciplined thought and disciplined action. Using key character traits like honesty, integrity and perseverance, our associates separate TMC from the competition. Our focus should always be on providing safe, consistent transportation solutions to our very important customers.”
Webster’s main focus is to ensure TMC brings in an overabundance of loads in order to optimize all company trucks and owner-operators, as well as bring in the quantity of loads needed to dominate this industry through the Load Management Center.
Webster is a graduate of Drury University in Springfield, Mo., where he received a Bachelor of Science in communication, with an emphasis in human resource management. He has spent the last 22 years in Petroleum Distribution, International Package Distribution and International Irregular Route Flatbed Sales and Operations. He has been with TMC since September 2004, as vice president of the Load Management Center.
