Barr-Nunn Transportation Moves to Practical Miles Pay

Barrnunn
Barr-Nunn is always looking for ways to keep their drivers happy, and as of May 1st their drivers and owner operators have been smiling more than ever due to the company’s transition to the Practical Mile Pay program. This transition allows their fleet to achieve pay increases, bonuses and vacation much faster along with larger paychecks because the new pay system will more accurately reflect the drivers' actual route and that makes drivers and their families much happier overall.

Barr-Nunn ran “sample” lanes to make sure this would really benefit their drivers, and what they found was astonishing! For example, they found that a run from Columbus, OH to Atlanta, GA was paying 534 miles but now under the new system it pays 575 miles, which is a 7.7% increase in miles. Charlotte, NC to Cincinnati, OH was paying 451 miles and now pays 479 miles, for a 6.2% increase in miles, and Memphis, TN to Orlando, FL now pays 803 miles versus the previous 761 miles, which is a 5.5% increase in miles.

Barr-Nunn feels this is the largest single pay raise for their fleet in recent history and will continue to work hard to show their drivers the difference is real at Barr-Nunn.
